Assistant Front Office Manager Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to;
  • Assist the Front Office Manager to ensure the smooth running of all Front Office department sections including: reception, reservations, transport, concierge, switchboard, business center and the guest relations.
  • Help to ensure full control of the Front Office Department to ensure maximum room occupancy revenue is attained by the hotel.
  • Assist to ensure that the department has qualified, disciplined and motivated staff through training.
  • Assist to ensure proper functioning and maintenance of company property entrusted to the department.
  • Assist in the maintenance of high quality guest service and feedback.Assist to develop and sustain close interdepartmental communication and promotion of harmonious working relationships at the Front Office.
The position is challenging and calls for a dynamic, confident, aggressive and forward thinking person with the following attributes;

Qualifications for Front Office Jobs in Kenya

  • Aged below 40 years.
  • Holder of a certificate, diploma or degree in Hotel Management from Kenya Utalii College or any other internationally recognised hotel training institution.
  • At least four years experience in a similar position, preferably from a five star establishment. International exposure is an added advantage.
  • Ability to create good rapport with the guests and to be extremely courteous and friendly at all times.
  • Ability to work without supervision and achieve goals beyond the minimum set standards for the hotel.
  • Ability to set the highest personal standards of work performance.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Must be Computer literate with knowledge of the latest version of Fidelio hotel management system.

F & B Supervisor Job Responsibilities

Customer Focus:
  • To implement the consistent delivery of superior customer service through the Customer Service Programme.
  • To ensure that the department creates a professional impression to customers and team members.
  • To participate with action on Customer Service Reports relevant to your department to achieve positive and consistent results.
  • To act on customer feedback relevant to your areas of responsibility. This to include customer complaints and compliments.
Business Awareness:

Job Description
A new Hotel based in Nairobi NCBD is looking for a General Manager to oversee the operations of the Hotel.
He/ she will oversee the running of the hotel and ensure the patrons are comfortable and they enjoy their stay.
He / she should always be attentive and compassionate to guests’ requests and complaints.
He / she will oversee operations of the other departments, kitchen, service, procurement and accounts.
He / she will be in charge that the other employees are performing their daily duties as required and will report to the management on a daily or weekly basis to share information regarding operations and goals.
He / she will also help to resolve any problems, make reservations, and monitor the cash flow of the front desk. 
Work closely with the Director in overseeing the management of the Hotel.

Ensure all cadres of staff deliver excellent customer service, at all times, ensuring guests’ comfort and safety
Keep up to date with current promotions and hotel pricing, to provide information to guests on request.
Propose and implement effective marketing strategies to maintain and grow clientele.
Provide reports, as required, for hotel management.
Complete rotas for your team weekly; manage and maintain correct staffing levels in line with targets and seasons / festivities.
Complete all required health and safety/fire checks on time.
 
Requirements
  • He / she  should have experience in the same field of 5 Years and above and especially in a busy hotel in the same position.
  • He / she should be a fast learner and able to adapt to new environments fast.
  • He / she should be a great team player and able to multi-task.
  • He / she should be aged 34 – 50 years.
  • He / she should possess excellent problem – solving skills and top notch professionalism. 
  • He / she needs to possess helpful customer service skills and remain calm and collected even when events become hectic.
